A talented and well-educated jazz saxophonist (B.A. in music performance with jazz studies emphasis from East Carolina University and graduate studies at UMKC Conservatory of Music), headliner Max Levy has performed in big bands, combos, pit orchestras and headlined ensembles around the world. Max currently resides in Kansas City where he works with mentors Dan Thomas and Bobby Watson to refine his music.

A la Mode features guitarist/composer Clayton DeLong with vocalist/percussionist Jesica Poell. Born in California and raised in Kansas City, Clayton began playing guitar at age 16. He holds a Bachelor of Music degree from University of Missouri Kansas City, Conservatory of Music where he studied jazz guitar under Kansas City greats such as Rod Fleeman, Danny Embrey and Bobby Watson. Jessica has studied classical voice and performed on stages from Arrowhead Stadium to Carnegie Hall to the Plaza Art Fair and is a Chaz favorite. The A la Mode duo performs jazz from standards to French gypsy, Latin and swing

British Invasion reproduces the sounds of the Beatles, Dave Clark Five, Gerry & the Pacemakers, the Rolling Stones and many of the other British bands that flooded the US airwaves starting in 1964. The foursome includes acoustic and electric guitars, bass and keyboards as well as strong lead vocals and harmonies.

Chaz draws a loyal flock of regulars Sunday nights to hear a diverse repertoire performed by the Mengel Brothers. Dana and Les Mengel are among the top classical musicians in the Kansas City area. Both studied at the UMKC Conservatory of Music and appear as members of many local Community Orchestras. Dana, violinist, is a noted composer whose works have been performed across the country and are included in their play list. Les, cellist/bassist, has performed with the Kansas City Symphony, taught at William Jewell College and reached semi-finals in the Concours International Chamber Music Competition in Paris. Guests appreciate their fresh stylings on classical compositions as well as riffs on jazz, pop and rock from artists such as the Beatles and Doors.

This duo specializes in brasiian jazz. Danny is joined by the great electric bassist Greg Whitfield. They are both members of the Sons of Brasil, who have performed together for 25 years playing the music of Jobim, Djavan, Buarque, Veloso, Caymmi and many other fine brazilian composers, along with original compositions. Danny has toured Brasil twice and Greg is very experienced and musically steeped in the country's culture.

Kathleen is a gifted musician who plays multiple instruments well, but none more impressively than the one with which she was born – her voice. She holds an M.A. in music from UMKC Conservatory of Music and is a composer, performer, recording artist whose latest release is “Don’t You Wonder?” and teacher. At Chaz she is a jazz singer known for her precision, intonation and power. Roger was raised in Rochester, New Yorkand educated at the University of Miami. His music career as a piano performer, recording artist and eductor has led him from Miami to New York to Kansas city. Roger performs jazz piano solo as well as in ensembles and is a go-to pianist and keyboardist for a diverse variety of local bands. Together, this jazz duo is Wow!

Bruce Graybill is a celebrated Jazz mandolinist/composer who is a two-time champion of the prestigious mandolin contest at the Walnut Valley Festival in Winfield, Kansas. Charles Gatshet is a well-known local guitarist and composer who has performed with the likes of Step-Buddy Anderson and Claude “Fiddler” Williams. Headlining songstress Eboni Fondren’s smooth, sultry voice rises up from a place of deep emotion and crescendos into pure joy for her audiences. Originally from Chicago, Eboni grew up with music and sports. She went to college to study business and play basketball, but it’s where she found love in the form of jazz. “At Last’ is an Etta James song that Eboni sings so well and is a metaphor for a great love in her own life. Etta, Ella Fitzgerald and Diana Krall are among the great jazz singers who have inspired her. Eboni loves the style, timbre and freedom that jazz is. She is a favorite of jazz fans throughout Kansas City and especially in Chaz. She likes the intimacy that Chaz offers, the opportunity to engage the audience more personally. “The dynamic is a little different in an intimate setting, nuance and lyric interpretation is more important,” says the talented artist.
