Located in the heart of the celebrated Country Club Plaza, Chaz stands out as a destination restaurant unlike any other. Chaz Restaurant and Lounge embodies the unique culture, history and spirit of Kansas City. The atmosphere is warm and clublike, but with an energetic vibe. Menus celebrate heartland tastes and bounty. Chaz's emphasis on music justly respects KC’s rich jazz heritage, but goes beyond to showcase other genres that are giving rise to a vibrant artistic community.

Chaz on the Plaza Restaurant - An Epicurean Experience. Chaz’s charming atmosphere is enhanced by modern American cuisine evolved from classic French fundamentals and energized by ethnic and geographic influences. Menus reflect the souls of the culinary team. Their innovative fare offers a playful mix of styles and cuisines that include beef, seafood, lamb, pork, poultry and vegetarian dishes, artfully presented and complemented by a world-class wine selection. 

Chaz Restaurant - A Feast for the Senses. The Raphael’s restaurant, well-established in history as one of Kansas City’s most romantic dining sites, is even more so in the new Chaz. As a local magazine editor noted, “The restaurant has always been romantic. Now it’s sexy too.” The aromas and the music wafting through the air are enhanced by an unexpected visual delight. Antiqued bronzed mirrors set against polished granite surfaces on the bar and windows serve to expand the room and offer patrons intriguing views of the Plaza in reflected angles. The views become more enchanting during the holiday season beginning Thanksgiving night, when Kansas City’s famed Plaza lights add shimmer and glow to the surrounding streetscape.

Chaz lounge. Chaz offers a classic atmosphere for gathering over drinks or small plate specialties with clients, colleagues or friends. Happy hour specials are popular Monday - Thursday, 4 - 7 pm.  Music and fun always fill the air nightly. Local artists perform their original music and favorite covers in a variety of genres, including jazz, classical, blues, and contemporary,  Tuesday - Saturday evenings. The lounge is open daily until Midnight (except Sundays).
